कल यानि कि 6 अक्टूबर को देश के कई राज्यों जैसे कि दिल्ली, मुंबई, मध्य प्रदेश, छत्तीसगढ़, बेंगलुरु के कुछ हिस्सों में से Jio के उपयोगकर्ताओं ने आउटेज के बारे में रिपोर्ट करना शुरू किया। अचानक कई हिस्सों में सर्विस बंद हो गयी थी। ट्विटर पर भी भारी मात्रा में शिकायतें दर्ज की गयीं। इसी को देखते हुए Jio ने अपने आधिकारिक ट्विटर हैंडल से एक पोस्ट जारी किया, जिसमें लिखा था कि, “आपकी सेवा का बेहतर अनुभव ही हमारी पहली प्राथमिकता है। दुर्भाग्यवश, आप और आप जैसे कई ग्राहकों को मुख्यत: मध्य प्रदेश और छत्तीसगढ़ में सेवा में रुकावट आयी है। हालांकि हमारी टीमें कुछ ही घंटों में इस समस्या को सुलझाने में कामयाब रहीं, लेकिन हम समझते हैं कि ये अनुभव आपके लिए अच्छा नहीं रहा और हम आपसे, इसके लिए माफ़ी चाहते हैं।” समस्या का सामना करने वाले किसी भी यूज़र को ये दो दिन के अनलिमिटेड डाटा के लिए किसी प्लान को मैन्युअल अपडेट करने की आवश्यकता नहीं होगी। कंपनी की तरफ से ये कम्प्लीमेंट्री डाटा एक्सटेंशन खुद ही आपके वर्तमान प्लान के खत्म होते ही चालू हो जायेगा। Jio आउटेज ने काफी भारी संख्या में उपयोगकर्ताओं पर असर डाला। लोग सर्विस से कनेक्ट नहीं हो पा रहे थे। इस आउटेज का असर सर्वर डाउनटाइम ट्रैकर, डाउन डिटेक्टर पर भी दिखा और ट्विटर पर भी ये शब्द “outage” काफी ज़्यादा ट्रेंड कर गया। ये समस्या लोगों को 6 अक्टूबर सुबह 9 बजे से आणि शुरू हुई और 11 बजे तक इसकी रिपोर्ट अपनी चरम सीमा पर पहुँच गयी। पिछले कुछ समय से आउटेज की समस्या सबसे बड़ी तकनीकी गड़बड़ियों में से एक है। हाल ही में हुए Facebook outage के कारण भी दुनियाभर में भारी मात्रा में लोग प्रभावित हुए और ये Jio आउटेज से कहीं बड़ा मुद्दा था। एक रिपोर्ट के अनुसार कुछ राऊटर मिसकंफिगरेशन (router misconfiguration) के कारण फेसबुक और इससे जुडी अन्य एप्लीकेशन Instagram और WhatsApp ठप पद गयीं थीं और दुनिया भर के लोग इन ऐप्स को 6 घंटे से ज्यादा समय तक के लिए इस्तेमाल नहीं कर पाए थे। हालांकि इसके मुकाबले Jio आउटेज में कहीं कम लोग प्रभावित हुए हैं।...
