Realme Book is going to be the company’s first laptop and has been in the news for a while now. The company has shown off the design of the laptop. There has been a leak of a 360-degree video showing the design and connectivity options. And a fresh tweet from the brand’s PR Manager shows the lappy’s About PC screen divulging key specs. So, from the screenshot, we glean that the Realme Book will ship with 11th gen Intel Core i5 processor along with Windows 10 Home software. Also, it isn’t a touch screen, which shouldn’t be a surprise, considering the price at which it would arrive. But before we get to the price expectations, let’s take a glance at the —

Realme Book Features (expected)

So far, we have come across the silver and blue variants of the machine. We are not sure of other available colors. According to the few pictures and design leaks we’ve seen, the laptop will have a slim metal body and a spacious keyboard and trackpad. The left side appears to have two USB Type-C ports, while the right side has a full-sized USB port and a 3.5mm audio jack. The absence of a DC power connector suggests that the Realme Book will support Type-C charging. We would expect Realme to bring its Super Dart fast charging technology to laptops as well. A recent development, however, has revealed that Realme is working on magnetic wireless charging technology for laptops that can connect to the bottom of a laptop and charge quickly. If the Realme Book gets wireless charging, it will be the first computer to support the technology. Moving on, the company has already confirmed that the Realme Book will come with a tall 3:2 screen, which is a rare feature on cheaper laptops. This is expected to be a 13.3-inch panel with thin bezels. Additionally, we can see that the power button may also act as a fingerprint scanner. Other highlights include an integrated webcam on top of the display and downward-facing speakers. ALSO READ: Infinix Smart 5A launched at INR 6,499 with a special Jio Cashback Offer

Realme Book Price in India (expected)

As for the price, expect the device to cost around 40,000 INR. The market for devices in the sub-₹40,000 range is very popular because of eLearning, remote working, and digitalization. With Realme’s other products, it has been competitive with pricing, and the laptop segment is in desperate need of some new players, so it has a good opportunity.

Realme Pad Features (expected)

Realme has also announced that it is working on a new tablet called the Realme Pad. Realme’s upcoming tablet should launch later this year. While Realme has not revealed any official details about the tablet, they have teased its design. Realme’s design renders¹ confirm that the tablet will launch in two colors. A gray and gold finish on an Aluminum unibody design. It also features a dual-tone finish on the back, as well as a straight line that runs through its single camera module. The LED flash doesn’t seem to be included. The device has black bezels around its display that are slightly thick. An estimated 10.4-inch display will be on the front. The tablet has a camera sensor on the right edge when held vertically (or on the top edge when held horizontally). A recent leak revealed both the front and rear cameras will be 8MP f/2.8. Both cameras will have a fixed focus, but the front camera will have autofocus. There are two speakers and the power button on one side of the frame, whereas two USB Type-C ports and another pair of speakers are on the other side. A small cutout at the bottom is likely to hold the stylus. The volume rocker is located on the frame, close to the camera module.  The device has a 7,100 mAh battery and is 6.8mm thick. A 6GB RAM and 64GB storage capacity is likely. While we can’t say for sure what to expect from these two products, it seems like we may have something good to look forward to from Realme in the affordable price range. What are your thoughts on these two products?
